WHY ART?   We believe that inside each person there lives a creative genius.  Creating art is one of the most natural ways for a person to express themselves and gain confidence in their ability to create.  Students also improve motor skills, observation skills, and nurture imagination through self-expression.

SATURDAY ART WORKSHOPS...

 

► THE THIRD DIMENSION: Sculpture, structures and mobiles   (5 hrs) FEBRUARY 18, 25

Explore the artists who decided three dimensional works were their specialty, instead of painting.  Learn their techniques for making dimensional art.  Supplies included.

► First Impressions   (3 hrs) March 24

Explore famous artists of the Impressionist period.  Learn about the time period of these artists as well as their revolutionary techniques.  Create your own masterpieces in the impressionist style.  Supplies included.

WEEKLY ART CLASSES...

► THE ART CLASS for children:  Ages 4-12

Students will explore art techniques using a variety of media, including paint, clay, pastels and more to create 2D and 3D paintings, drawings and sculptures.  One of the highlights of the year will be the exhibition of the children's art at local businesses.  Supply fee is $30.  Tuition is due in 9 monthly installments of $65 per month, September through May.  Very small class size allows for lots of individual attention.
