Our Family Time Saturday morning class is popular with our working parents, as well as parents with multiple children who want to make music a family affair.  We took favorite Kindermusik songs and activities and rolled them into a fun, family class where each child is welcomed and valued and family “together time” is celebrated and cherished.

What you’ll experience in class:

• Singing. From the first “Hello” song to the last “Goodbye,” exploring a variety of musical styles and genres leads children to find their own voice. Plus singing helps with memory and recall, physical development, creativity, and socialization.
• Assorted Movement. Whether moving as a family, as a class, or as individuals, Family Time movement activities enhance coordination skills, create opportunities for imitation and exploration, and give everyone something to smile, rock, bounce, or dance about.
• Story Time. Reading aloud to children stimulates their curiosity, expands their knowledge, and broadens their understanding of language.
• Family Jam Children (and adults) will love selecting a unique instrument and joining in one big class jam session each week.
• Musical Concepts. Fun engaging activities bring out the musicality in everyone, from the youngest member of the family to the oldest. Together you’ll learn more about music as you learn more about each other.
• Expert advice. A Kindermusik educator explains how our musically based activities enhance your child’s complete development.
• Learning continues at home. With the home materials, the learning continues at home with your child’s best teacher—you!

Enrollment includes:

• 32 classes with two different themes 

• Weekly 45-minute class
•  New set of  At Home Materials  - one for each theme.  Each theme's materials include a Family Activity Guide, 2 literature books, 2 instruments, and two CDs of music from class.

Registration, Payment, Materials: 

Simple, Easy, Flexible . . . Enroll once now, and you're done for the year.  We'll charge your card on the first of each month.  Should your child need to move up to the next age group, we'll help you do that at theme change time.

     Registration Fee:  $25 per child,  due upon registration.

     Monthly Payment:  $65 September through May  (includes materials for the year!)

If for any reason you need to withdraw, simply give 30 days written notice (email). If notice is not given by the 15th of the month, the following month’s tuition will still apply. Missed classes are neither prorated nor refundable. Always, if there is an extenuating circumstance, please just notify us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Special Discounts and Savings:

J SIBLING SAVINGS:  Enroll siblings in the same Family Time Class and save $10 per month on the second child's tuition.

J REPEAT BENEFITS:  If you have any of this year's Home Materials from a previous Family Time enrollment, ask for your "Second Time Around Savings".  We will contact you to see which materials you have and what you need.

J    INFANT INCENTIVE:  If you are enrolling a baby who is younger than 3 months at the time of the first class, that child's first month is FREE!

J REFERRAL REWARDS:  Refer a "new-to-Kindermusik" friend.  When your friend lists your name as the person who referred them, you will get a $10 credit towards your next month's tuition, and your friend will get a free CD.

For 2012-2013 School Year, our curriculum units are:

"Our Kind of Day"     Music time isn't just at music class, it's all day long! What better way to build family bonds than to sprinkle music and movement throughout playtime, mealtime, clean-up time, bathtime, and nighttime? At each lesson, parents are given ideas for creativity and insights into their child’s development. With catchy songs such as “Wishy, Washy, Wee” for bathtime, “Go Into the Kitchen” for mealtime, and "Love Somebody" at bedtime—parenting becomes easier and a lot more fun! Over the course of 10 weeks, each lesson is packed with singing, listening, storytime, puppet play, creative movement, instrument play, family jams, and sharing.

"Here There and Everywhere"    Families will sing, dance, and move their way through an exploration of several elements of music: beat & rhythm, concepts & contrasts (such as staccato & legato, high & low, the major scale, and arpeggios), the human voice, instrument families, and ensemble. They'll engage in developmentally appropriate activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including fingerplays, songs, circle dances, story time, and family jam.
