Violeta Kascelan has been teaching professionally for quite a few years now. The daughter of a piano teacher, she started learning about the skills of teaching children as well as adults from a young age by visiting her mother’s lessons and always found it fascinating. Early on she realized that being a great teacher is not only a talent but an incredible skill and one of the most rewarding experiences.
During her piano studies at the Cetinje Academy of Music in Montenegro, Violeta Kascelan also studied in Cetinje for one year with a distinguished Russian Professor Botchariov, who was rated the second best Pianist and professor in all of Europe and fourteenth in the world. Violeta taught several talented children and adults weekly as well as regularly organized introductory music courses for children with the Cetinje Music Academy. Believing that performing on stage from an early stage is imperative for a balanced musical education, Violeta organizes concerts for her pupils every half year to give everyone the opportunity to play in front of their families and friends and experience positive stage appearances from early on. Since September 2000 she has been teaching and performing concerts in Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Norway and other surrounding countries. Her passion for teaching and making classical music accessible to all children has recently brought her to the Caribbean, where she was the music leader for 13 months at the Ross University in Dominica. She has worked with schools, teaching large classes, as well as small groups and one to one lessons on theory and Piano performance, rhythm and basic notation. The results of her outstanding background as a student, teacher and performer are clearly seen in Violeta's teaching skill. As a teacher, Violeta is patient, creative, innovative and confident. She is deeply committed to a high standard and excellent quality of musical education. Now, Violeta trains students and prepares them for the ABRSM examination, based in London UK, and the RCM Examination, based in Canada.
