Ethan R.

A native and proud Houstonian, Ethan Ratcliff is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in guitar, bass guitar and drum set percussion. On his main three instruments, he can display proficiency in jazz, rock, pop and metal, most of all being on the guitar.

Having taught professionally since his high school years, Ethan has always been passionate about sharing his love of music. This has been shown most with his tenacity to start his own student rock band, which has been under his watch for over 2 years. He uses his knowledge of the core instruments of rock as well as his enthusiasm to blend young musicians-to-be into a priceless and electrifying experience that can never be forgotten.

Despite his wealth of knowledge in performance, Ethan is still pursuing bigger and better things at the Lone Star College in Cy-Fair. Currently serving as the core drummer and first chair guitarist, he’s constantly switching between roles in the Lone Star Big Band Jazz Ensemble all while working towards a degree in performance.

Ethan always aims to make music something worth delving into. Not just a fun hobby, but a way of understanding and expressing oneself in a way known only to the arts. He can’t wait to give the gift of music to all willing to receive it here at Cy-Fair Music and Arts.
