Acting and Voice Teacher
James H.

James is an accomplished actor, playwright, and dedicated teacher whose work spans New York, Los Angeles, and his current home in Houston. With screen credits including Devil's Knot (opposite Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon) and stage roles such as Bobby in Company, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Dickon in The Secret Garden, James brings professional depth and lived experience into every session.

Specializing in Shakespeare and Musical Theatre, James helps students bridge the gap between poetry, story, and song—guiding them toward performances that are honest, dynamic, and deeply connected. He has taught middle school theatre and coached performers from age 10 to adult, with a teaching style rooted in curiosity, clarity, and courageous choice-making.

His motto, "Stumble often and gloriously," reflects a core belief: bold risks are the key to real breakthroughs. As a playwright, James’s work has been featured in the New York Summerfest, a testament to his storytelling instincts and commitment to the craft from both sides of the script.
