Lead Art Teacher
Elizabeth W.
Born in Rockford, Illinois, Liz is a midwestern girl who has always had a love of the arts. As a kid, she attended a creative and performing arts junior and high school where she studied dance, singing, and art. She then completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University at Commerce and received a Bachelor of Science in Design Communications. In the years since college, Liz has worked as a graphic artist, production artist, and art director at various agencies and publications.
Liz worked hard to succeed in all subjects as a child, but she was naturally drawn to art. Liz loves the freedom of creativity and individual expression offered by art, which is why it became her passion. Even as an adult, she continues to enjoy learning new techniques, materials, and creative processes.
Liz has 10 years of experience teaching and working with children in a small group setting. Additionally, she has also served as a youth summer camp administrator for the past 7 years. She loves helping children find their individual talents, hidden or not. Liz believes everyone is creative in their own way and it is her job to help each individual express their own artistic voice. She hopes to give your child the skills, encouragement, and empowerment to use and improve their unique creative gifts.
