She completed volunteer and commissioned murals for Milwaukee churches, apartment buildings, and other public spaces.
Following undergraduate study, Sara served as a Gallery Assistant for the Milwaukee Street Gallery in Milwaukee, WI and for Brancolini Grimaldi Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling abroad and studying art historical pieces in Italy and France.
Sara received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, MA. She won a public sculpture commission design proposal for the Dartmouth Parks System and created a public bronze sculpture for the city of Dartmouth in 2012.
Teaching has always been a passion for her. With over 10 years of teaching experience, she has worked as an Adjunct Art Professor at Concordia University and Wisconsin Lutheran College. When not teaching young adults, she has taught middle school and elementary age children in college prep summer classes and vacation Bible schools. She currently leads the summer art camp for Christ Alone church in Houston.
When not teaching, Sara currently works as a fashion illustrator for Alisa Maxime Studios and in her home studio on mixed media paintings, sculptures, and projects with her 7 year old daughter. She is continually encouraged and inspired by the passion for art present in the students at Cy-Fair Music and Arts, and looks forward to guiding them to expand upon their artistic skills.
