Guitar Teacher
Barry P.

Barry P. has been performing with the guitar for more than 20 years and teaching for 10. Having the opportunity to audition and be a part of the first major guitar class at the Las Vegas Performing Arts High School in downtown Las Vegas led Barry to early exposure to teaching, recording and performing in multiple environments at an early age in a professional entertainment environment. The Las Vegas environment allowed Barry to have contact with professional performers and craftsman in the entertainment industry on a continual basis and gave opportunities to perform in his classical guitar quartet across the country.

Furthering his studies at the University of Las Vegas Nevada in the Jazz department studying with Joe Lano (guitarist for the Jerry Lewis Telethon for more than 20 years) to the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA Barry studied with multiple current pros in the area covering modern musical applications in performance and writing.

Barry has played in varying groups from classical guitar quartets, orchestras, rock/pop bands throughout the L.A. and Las Vegas music scene and has been a Texas resident for the past 4 years. From beginners playing for the first time to the advanced student looking to forward their skills, he loves every step of the way in the art of the instrument that is the guitar. He is currently writing his debut album and teaching 5 days a week at CyFair Music and Arts.
