Michael M.

Michael M. currently studies music at Sam Houston State University with voice professor Christopher Michel. With SHSU Opera, Michael has performed in Purcell’s Dido and Æneas, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and also appeared as the Counsel to the Plaintiff in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury. In the summer of 2018, Michael traveled to Lucca, Italy to participate in the Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti summer voice program. Since 2020 Michael McDougal has served as the music director at First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Texas where he also directs the choir.
